Product Description The Les Filles d’Amalia family means that we continue riding on the back of the Mandó in search of a fresher and fresher Mediterranean. My mother is called Amalia and this collection of wines, which will be two, one still (les prunes) and one sparkling (les danses), is dedicated to her. Les prunes and les danses should be as fine and delicate as the fragrant flowers that she cares for in her garden. The front label says BLANC DE MANDÓ because it is made like a white wine with red grapes of that unjustly forgotten variety that one day we fell in love with and that is called mandó. The back label says VI VERGE and that is because it does not contain pressed wine, it only contains virgin must, and it also says ROSAT because in the end it turns out that this white wine is pink. The jars also have something to say here. Les prunes finishes fermentation and is aged for six months in buried clay jars of one hundred and fifty arrobas and it will have the same price as safrà (you will see how wonderful it is, safrà 2017) because the grapes are the same and the production costs too. What would become of our clay jars without the beautiful and subtle mandó and what would become of our mandó without these beautiful dormant jars? And why is it called les prunes? Because it wants to be the pure, fresh fruit you find on a bush on a summer afternoon, the delicate wild prune that hasn’t finished ripening yet but already smells so good that this morning a bird came close to pecking it.
