The Gunslebert is a variety of hazelnut that has a unique and enjoyable flavour. As a nut the Gunslebert is more rounded than the Kent Cob and when green has a frilly husk. As a nut they can be eaten fresh or used in dishes. Dehusked cobnuts should be kept cool to prevent the kernel (nut) drying. A salad draw is an ideal place for storage.
