The Kozlović family have been making wine in the Istrian region of Croatia since 1904. The region borders Friuli and the wines, food and people have a real connection with their Italian neighbours. Winemaker Gianfranco is a perfectionist and he is constantly striving to improve his already brilliant wines. Fresh aromas of red and black fruit complemented by hints of pepper and spices. There’s flavours of black cherries and plums but with a freshness that is typical of the indigenous variety. Medium bodied and dry, this wine can be enjoyed with red meats, pasta sauce and hard cheeses.
