This wine is indeed an exception – the special reserve is ‘the Exception’, because it is the only vine producing white in the appellation of Chiroubles. Beautiful aromas of ripe stone fruits mixed with white flowers. Juicy flavours of Granny Smith apple, white peach and apricot dominate the palate balanced with a soft mineral component and an invigorating acidity. If you like Chablis, and want to try something rare in the UK, this wine is for you. Fantastic paired with mussels, oysters or chicken.
