This very dark milk chocolate bar is wonderfully creamy and smooth, with heights of cappuccino and roasted nuts gently rising as it melts on your tongue. In 2008, Original Beans kicked off a partnership with a few hundred women to grow cocoa and achieve a direct trade price premium. These women, and their bars, are known as the Femmes de Virunga. Their bars, made from the rare Amelonado cacao, are a triple-delight: delicious chocolate, empowering women, and protecting the Virunga, home to the world’s last remaining mountain gorillas.
