Woodchester Valley is a family owned winery located just 10 minutes from the centre of Stroud. With three vineyards dotted around the area, they produce white, rose, sparkling and red wines. Grapes for this blend are grown on the Amberley vineyard on Culver Hill, hence the name. Barrel fermented Ortega brings creaminess to a crisp palate of gooseberry, cut grass, green apple and citrus fruits. there’s some peach and lemon on the nose from the addition of Solaris this year and the minerality comes from the limestone soils in the vineyard. A real food wine that is a great accompaniment to mussels or any chicken dish.
