Founded in 1999 by Paco Oliván, Hacienda Grimón is a small family winery located in the Jubera Valley, in the heart of the Rioja Designation of Origin, at the foot of Camero Viejo. The grapes are grown without the use of herbicides or pesticides, before being harvested by hand. Black fruits with black pepper and sweet spices. The palate is quite full bodied for a Crianza due to the quality of fruit used and longer than average ageing in oak. The ripe tannins and fresh acidity balance the richness of the fruit which results in an elegant and classy Rioja, a serious Crianza and a cut above most others you will try.
