Papagiannakos produce very limited quantities of exceptional wines, just east of Athens. The local variety is Savatiano, but they also produce some Malagousia, Agioritiko and Assyrtiko too. This is a single vineyard wine, made from 60 year old vines, sustainably grown and without any irrigation. The wine has citrus on the nose with characteristic minerality and herbal flavours on the palate. The Papagiannakos family are the undisputed champions of the Savatiano variety and their wines are now exported to 25 countries.
