Bodegas Cesar Florido are one of the oldest sherry producers in the region. They are based in the small coastal town of Chipiona, to the west of Sanlucar and only a stones throw from the Atlantic ocean. Chipiona is best known for the production of Moscatel Dorado, they harvest late and the wine is aged in traditional chestnut barrels. Sweet and honeyed with lots of grapey fruit, certainly not cloying. Absolutely delicious with a touch of oak and caramel, perfect for cheeses or desserts.
