Quinta do Vale Meão have been making fantastic port for many years. They don’t bottle everything they make straight away, and leave a proportion to age in their cellars. After many years of this investment, they now have sufficient reserves to draw from and create this wonderful 10 year old tawny port. What sets this tawny apart is that it has been aged at the quinta, in the Douro Superior. This means it shows a very different developmental character to other tawny ports, most of which are aged in Vila Nova de Gaia, far cooler by the coast!
