Rótulo Branco is Niepoort’s expression of classic Dão white wine: a field blend of local varieties grown on granitic soils at altitude. Winemaking is deliberately restrained, with gentle pressing, natural ferments, and ageing in large, neutral vessels to preserve the region’s natural brightness. The style is built around tension, mineral drive, and subtle aromatics rather than overt fruit. The wine shows citrus peel, white flowers, light stone fruit, and a clear granitic edge on the nose. The palate is crisp and finely textured, with lemon, green apple, and a faint herbal note carried by firm acidity. The finish is clean and mineral, with a slight savoury twist that keeps it focused and dry.
