Niepoort Drink Me Tinto is a Douro red made for relaxed, everyday drinking, but it still shows the region’s structure and mineral edge. It’s a blend of native grapes including Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Amarela, grown on schist soils. The style is bright and lifted: red berries, wild herbs, a touch of mint, and the violet note that often marks Niepoort’s wines. The palate is fresh and crunchy with soft tannins, good acidity, and a clean, mineral finish. Most of the wine is aged in stainless steel, with a small portion in French oak, keeping the fruit clear and the texture light.
