Raza have added to their incredible ‘classic’ range with this super drinkable red. It’s made from two parcels; two thirds Vinhão fermented in stainles steel, and one third Padeiro trodden and fermented in lagar. The blend makes perfect sense, rich colour and dark fruit crunchy acidity from the Vinhão compliment the Padeiro’s lighter colour and natural tannic structure. The result is fruit-driven and generous, but with freshness for everyday use. As is so typical for so many Portuguese wines, it’s a stunner with or without food.
